Earthquake | పసిఫిక్‌ ద్వీప (Pacific island) దేశం వనౌటు (Vanuatu)ను భారీ భూకంపం (Earthquake) కుదిపేసింది. దక్షిణ పసిఫిక్‌ మహాసముద్రంలో ఉన్న వనౌటు తీరంలో మంగళవారం ఉదయం అత్యంత శక్తిమంతమైన భూకంపం సంభవించింది. రిక్టరు స్కేలుపై భూకంపం తీవ్రత 7.3గా నమోదైంది. దేశంలోనే అతిపెద్ద నగరమైన రాజధాని పోర్ట్‌ విలా (Port Vila)కు పశ్చిమాన 57 కిలోమీటర్ల లోతులో ఈ భూకంప కేంద్రాన్ని గుర్తించారు.

7.3 తీవ్రత తర్వాత ఇదే ప్రాంతంలో పలు మార్లు 5.3 తీవ్రతతో భూ ప్రకంపనలు నమోదయ్యాయి. భూకంపం ధాటికి ఎత్తైన భవనాలు ఊగిపోయాయి. అనేక భవనాలు, కార్లు దెబ్బతిన్నాయి. పోర్ట్‌ విలాలోని యూఎస్‌, యూకే, ఫ్రాన్స్‌ సహా పలు దేశాల రాయబార కార్యాలయాలు ఉన్న భవనం ధ్వంసమైనట్లు స్థానిక మీడియా పేర్కొంది. ఈ భూకంపం ఘటనలో భారీగా ఆస్తి, ప్రాణ నష్టం సంభవించినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. ఇందుకు సంబంధించిన దృశ్యాలు ప్రస్తుతం నెట్టింట వైరల్‌ అవుతున్నాయి.
