కాబూల్‌: వరుస భూకంపాలతో అఫ్ఘానిస్థాన్‌ (Afghanistan Earthquake) వణికిపోయింది. ఐదు గంటల వ్యవధిలో 5 సార్లు భూమి కంపించింది. సోమవారం తెల్లవారుజామున 12.47 గంటలకు మొదటిసారి భూకంపం వచ్చింది. దీని తీవ్రత 6.3గా నమోదయింది. భూ అంతర్భాగంలో 160 కిలోమీటర్ల లోతులో కదలికలు సంభవించాయని నేషనల్‌ సెంటర్‌ ఫర్‌ సీస్మొలజీ (NCS) వెల్లడించింది. జలాలాబాద్‌కు 27 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరంలో భూకంపకేంద్రం ఉన్నదని తెలిపింది.
తెల్లవారుజామున 1.08 గంటల సమయంలో 4.7 తీవ్రతతో మరోసారి భూమి కంపించింది. ఆ తర్వాత 1.59 గంటలకు 4.3 తీవ్రతతో, 3.03 గంటలకు 5.0 తీవ్రతతో, 5.16 గంటలకు 5.0 తీవ్రతతో భూ కంపం వచ్చింది. వరుస భూకంపాలతో 20 మంది మరణించారని నంగర్హార్‌ పబ్లిక్‌ హెల్త్‌ డిపార్ట్‌మెంట్‌ అధికార ప్రతినిధి నఖీబుల్లా రహిమీ తెలిపారు. సుమారు 115 మందికిపైగా గాయపడ్డారని వెల్లడించారు.
అయితే ఇప్పటివరకు 250 మంది మరణించినట్లు తెలుస్తున్నది. 500 మందికిపైగా గాయపడ్డారని సమాచారం. అయితే దీనికి సంబంధించి అధికారులు ఎలాంటి ప్రకటనా చేయలేదు.

వరుస భూకంపాలతో ప్రజలు భయాందోళనలకు గురయ్యారు. భూకంప తీవ్రతతో భవనాలు ఊగిపోవడంతో ప్రజలు ఇండ్ల నుంచి బయటకు పరుగులుతీశారు. పలుచోట్ల ఇండ్లు కూలిపోయాయి. కాగా, పాకిస్థాన్‌, ఉత్తర భారతదేశం సరిహద్దు్ ప్రాంతాల్లో కూడా భూ ప్రకంపణలు వచ్చాయని అధికారులు వెల్లడించారు. న్యూఢీల్లీలో కూడా భూమి కంపించిందని పేర్కొన్నారు.

A magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck southeastern Afghanistan on Sunday, August 31, 2025. The epicenter was located 25 kilometers southwest of Asadabad city in Kunar province.
