Earthquake | ఆఫ్ఘనిస్థాన్‌ (Afghanistan)ను భారీ భూకంపం (Earthquake) వణికించింది. దేశంలోనే అతిపెద్ద నగరాల్లో ఒకటైన మజార్-ఎ-షరీఫ్ (Mazar-e Sharif) సమీపంలో సోమవారం తెల్లవారుజామున 1 గంట సమయంలో భూమి కంపించింది. రిక్టరు స్కేలుపై భూకంపం తీవ్రత 6.3గా నమోదైనట్లు నేషనల్‌ సెంటర్‌ ఫర్‌ సిస్మోలజీ (National Center for Seismology) వెల్లడించింది. ఈ భూకంపం ధాటికి భారీగా ప్రాణ, ఆస్తి నష్టం సంభవించినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది.

యూఎస్‌ జియోలాజికల్‌ సర్వే (US Geological Survey) ప్రకారం.. మజార్-ఎ-షరీఫ్ నగరం ఖుల్మ్ పట్టణానికి సమీపంలో భూమికి 28 కిలోమీటర్ల లోతులో భూకంపం కేంద్రాన్ని గుర్తించారు. ఈ ప్రకంపనలు తీవ్ర స్థాయిలో ఉండటంతో భారీగా ప్రాణ, ఆస్తి నష్టం వాటిల్లింది. ఈ భూప్రకంపనలకు భారీ భవంతులు ఊగిపోయాయి. అనేక ఇళ్లు దెబ్బతిన్నాయి. గాఢ నిద్రలో ఉన్న ప్రజలు భయంతో ఇండ్ల నుంచి బయటకు పరుగులు తీశారు. ఈ విపత్తులో ఇప్పటి వరకూ పది మంది ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోగా.. సుమారు 150 మందికిపైగా గాయపడ్డారు. అయితే, మృతులు వందల్లోనే ఉంటారని యూఎస్‌జీఎస్ అంచనా వేసింది. భూ ప్రకంపనలకు సంబంధించిన వీడియోలు ప్రస్తుతం నెట్టింట వైరల్‌గా మారాయి.
